"Fayette County Community Action Agency in Uniontown is pleased to announce a second year offering of our free summer Agricultural Career Exploration Camp for children going into 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Our camps are designed to provide middle school youth with opportunities to explore the careers in the local farming industry in Fayette County. Youth will be engaged in learning about food processing, gardening, crop and livestock farming, larger scale production, and conservation. The youth will also be engaged in career readiness activities designed to build and strengthen communication, following directions, teamwork, problem solving, and time management. Our goal is to provide youth with positive experiences they may not have been exposed to in the past and to help them explore the potential career path within the agricultural industry ranging from land management to inspectors to technicians to veterinary occupations." from the desk of Susan Wagner
