Overly’s Country Christmas has been a tradition in my family for many years. It started volunteering to make white pizza’s with my dad with the girl scouts, through my teen years, to engagement, and now I take my kids every year. My mom often reminisces about visiting when it was at Mr. Overly's House and receiving a candy cane. Overly's has been a Christmas tradition in our area for many years.

The display is filled with creative and unique displays that you can appreciate from the warmth of your car. From a train coming through the tunnel to Baby Shark, there is something for everyone. You can tune into their radio station to play holiday music to add to the festive atmosphere.

Once we were done with the light display, we moved on to the Christmas Village. The Train Station was our first stop. My kids were able to ring the bell and loved watching the trains. While looking at the detailed display, we had our first visit from a mischievous visitor, the Grinch!

Overly’s is full of Characters, including Henny the Hemlock - a talking Christmas tree. She’s full of jokes. My oldest daughter was excited to share her classic joke, “Hey, I got a pizza joke for you. Nevermind, it’s too cheesy.” which Henny loved. My kids kept returning to chat with Henny and couldn't believe there was a magic Christmas tree! Want to read about Henny and her great jokes? Check it out here.

Of course, we had to see the big man in red, Santa! Each family gets to go into a building with Santa, which gives a great personal touch. It’s a $5 donation to take personal photographs with Santa. While we were visiting, the Grinch came in and stole presents!

The Grinch had a larger-than-life personality and was so fun to interact with. He walked around the whole evening, and it felt like every time you turned around, he was there being silly. He stole presents from Santa's workshop and the General Store. He also snatched my husband's Santa hat!

We finished the night with a carriage ride, walked by the nativity, and enjoyed time by the fire as a family. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the play area and wooden train.
