Like most caregivers I wanted to do something special for my son's birthday. When I saw that Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Mill Run, PA was having a discounted weekend I knew that it would be perfect. We'd been wanting to try it out as a family and it fell on his birthday weekend. We loaded up our pop-up and hit the road (if you don't have a tent or camper they have cabins, too!)

After we arrived I stopped by the ranger's station and got their list of activities for the weekend. They had a full itinerary, some were paid but a lot was free. That evening we took a wagon ride and ended up in the "picnic" basket. The next day Boo Boo delivered donuts to our campsite, admittedly I think I was more excited than the kids but it was still an awesome experience and it only cost us $8.

After our delicious donuts, our day was filled with fun free activities. We took a train ride, did kid's crafts, and rode a fire truck. One of my favorite moments is when Boo Boo read a campfire story before bedtime - experiences like that make it extra special. When they open the water park for the summer it would be even better. I've already signed up for Yogi Rewards and am planning our next trip. My word of advice would be to plan to bring extra cash for the full experience - they have a delicious restaurant in the rangers station. You can also rent a golf cart, which was so nice because it is a large park. They offer monster truck and 6x6 rides which I think we will definitely try next time. Overall it was a great experience that I had to share with you.
